Students of Bucktown created a portrait mural in the first week of school. Each grade was assigned a color and to draw their portrait with a pattern in the background. These portraits look great individual but even more fabulous when put together

Scribbles to Characters doodle
Students in grades 3-5 began the year with a creative project where there turned scribbled nonsense into characters. Students began by making lines and shapes on a page. They were then given a pair of eyeballs drawn on trace paper and placed the eyeballs in each shape to find characters. Students then added details like mouths, arms, jewelry and speech bubbles. Their final designs turned out awesome and were super creative! Enjoy!
