The many faces and colors of Bucktown

Students of Bucktown created a portrait mural in the first week of school. Each grade was assigned a color and to draw their portrait with a pattern in the background. These portraits look great individual but even more fabulous when put together

Line Dancing

3rd Graders learned about line and variation. They learned that there are infinite ways to draw a line by varying the size, length, direction and thickness of a line. This project was also a collaborative project where students worked as table teams and needed to make sure 1 main line ran through all projects and as a group had to decide on a common color for the main line; it was very democratic! Check em out, they look pretty sweet all together!
