2nd graders looked at the artwork of abstract artist, Joan Miro His art looks like this:
We identified that he uses geometric shapes (shapes with names) as well as organic shapes ( shapes without names). Students then played a game where they rolled dice to decide on the shape of body, head, eyes, etc. They also needed to make a boarder of geometric shapes. These characters look like they are ready to party!
