So Surreal

5th graders learned about surrealism and the 4 elements: Fantasy, Dream-like, Opposites and Exaggeration. Students had the task of taking unrelated magazine clippings and creating a surreal image using at least 2 of the elements discussed. These results are the best I've ever gotten in the 3 years Ive done this project!

Middle school exquisite Corpse

Middle school students created an exquisite corpse, which is a collaborative drawing game where three people draw on the SAME drawing without seeing what the person before them drew. The results are often weird, fantastical and surreal! Check out their funky results!
